Still My favorite hotpot place. Lots of choices. Affordable. $12.50 for kids over 40 inches. They've been giving out cute little toys to my kids too. Fatty cattle is my fave meat to order. Also tried their Mango Sago dessert, it was really good!

The food is actually fire. I got a veggie broth and added in corn, cheese curds, ramen noodles, a little bit of beef (like the raw strips) and it's pretty cool cause you make it all yourself. I don't know how to use chopsticks so I asked for a fork. People were so nice and were very patient with me because I don't know how this place works. It was really nice inside the restaurant and they had wonderful service. There was a little bit, but we got it. It was an all you can eat, and it was really good because it was an all you can eat. I would 100% recommend this business to anyone who really likes trying new things.

OMBU is such a steel especially for an AYCE spot! We went during lunch, and it has such a great selection of ingredients (even a dessert bar) especially for the price; I paid less than $25 for the duo small hot pot! I recommend this place for an affordable hot pot meal with good service.

All you can eat! I reserved for my party of nine as we were in SLC for a ski trip. Entering in is a bit chaotic--lots of people waiting in line (but on a Friday) and the buffet station is in front of the establishment. Small drink fridge to the right and to the left are 2 small sauce stations. We had to wait about 15 minutes until we were seated. Even though we had 9 people it was a table of 8 individual stoves, so that was awkward. I ended up just sharing with my boyfriend at the end of the table. You order all the meats with the iPad. The stand out items were the beef tongue and one type of fatty beef slices (not sure what it was called on the menu). They were a little slow bringing out the meat but it was all good in the end. You get to grab other things like veggies and seafood in the buffet. I also really liked the fried bread dessert with condense milk. That was freshly warm and crispy! Overall really solid spot!

This place has the best hotpots in town- we come at least once a year. They offering individual hot pots to cater to both large and small groups. Don't be intimidated - the friendly service is ready to explain everything. With an all-you-can-eat setup, ordering is a breeze using the iPad for meats and specialty items. The rest is laid out salad bar-style, allowing you to fill your plate and return to your table to cook in your chosen broth. I highly recommend this experience, especially for a group activity with family and friends.

Really great place! I am Taiwanese and I grew up eating lots of hot pot. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty authentic and delicious hotpot place in Salt Lake! The price is so worth it for the quality. This kind of quality would have been easily $40+ in the Bay Area or SoCal. I highly recommend this place! Lots of options. Delicious mala broth and bone broth (I would recommend this pot combo) We pretty much always eat here whenever we're in Salt Lake.

This place is great and all, but... Nothing! lol... just...try and go when it's not busy (if that's possible). It is a little bit on the loud side. Open till 1am some nights? The posted times on here say 10pm mostly... Day after Thanksgiving it was a madhouse of families with kids. They were mostly respectful though (no running or anything)... just kinda loud. The highschool background noise nostalgia was rampant. We will likely enjoy them again some day soon.

I thought I had already reviewed OMBU Hotpot, but after I think 5, maybe 6 visits I'm glad that I waited. In the Salt Lake Valley OMBU Hotpot does two things better than any other hotpot/shabu place does, in my opinion. First, they have the best sauce bar. Not only do they have the best sauce bar, they have two of them! This was new for this visit, but they have two sauce bars with the same setup on each. This is VERY helpful when they are busy, and tonight on Labor Day, they were very busy. Despite them being full I had no problem making my dipping sauce. So easy access is one thing, the other thing is that they have all the stuff. I didn't do an official count but I think they had 18 ingredients per sauce bar. I made my best sauce ever tonight! I was proud of my self, for sure, making such a great sauce, but I was so appreciative of the options they provided that allowed me to make my personal best dipping sauce. Second, their ingredients bar is the best I've seen. Not just in Utah, but in my travels, this is the best ingredient bar I have seen. Lots of fish options, including deveined, shell-off, no tails, shrimp. They also offer whole shrimp. There has always been a white fish, which is my personal favorite protein for hotpot, at least as far as volume is concerned. I do like my beef, lamb, and pork, but I want to fill up on good fish and shrimp. They have a bunch of veggies, tonight was not the best veggie night for them, but it's usually very good. There were also about 10 different fishball or fishball like options. I tried several but went back for seconds on the lobsterballs, which isn't usually my favorite type of fishballs. I'm gonna give a quick pro-tip. If you add a lot of mushrooms before anything else your broth will stay full longer and have lots of really good flavor. The mushrooms kind of act as a cap that inhibits evaporation while also releasing liquid as they cook. everyone at the table always wonders why my pot is still so full when they are needing a top-up. All the other times I have been to OMBU Hotpot was during off hours and they have always been fantastic. Tonight they were packed and had a wait. You really know a restaurant is good when they are at their best when they are really busy. I'm glad I waited to review OMBU Hotpot because tonight they showed me that they can handle being completely full and thrive. Service was amazing, ingredients were amazing, the experience was absolutely fantastic! OMBU has officially become my favorite Hotpot restaurant in Utah!

I friggin love this place! If you like AYCE HOT POT, this is the spot for you. You order from a tablet and the servers bring them out to you. No need to flag someone down as you can also do it on the tablet. There's a variety of meats and appetizers that you can choose from. The wall bar has the veggies, leafy greens, seafood, noodles and dessert. I typically like to share a big pot and have 2 different broths with my boyfriend. We always gotta have a spicy and a bone broth. There's a small sauce bar where you can add extra stuff to your pot, but I use this as my dipping sauce. Our favorite apps to order are the cream cheese wontons, fried pork and chicken cutlets, fried chicken wings, fries, and pot stickers. The ketchup tastes sweeter than regular ketchup and it's addicting! I prefer going during lunch time because it's cheaper and I don't really eat all of the stuff available during dinner time.
